Happy Administrative Professionals Day

Happy Administrative Professionals Day! Today is the day set aside to thank the administrative professional in your life that helps you get all the things done required to be successful. Administrative Professionals Day recognizes and celebrates the work of secretaries, administrative assistants, and other office professionals for their diverse contributions to the workplace.

Administrative Professionals Week was originally organized in 1952 as “National Secretaries Week” by the International Association of Administrative Professionals and a group of office product manufacturers. After going through several name changes the IAAP (official sponsor of the event) announced in 2000 that the name would change to “Administrative Professionals Day.” So, take some time out of your day and be sure to recognize and thank the administrative professional in your life.

But why stop there? This is a great time to invest a few minutes thinking about all those people in your life helping you in your journey to success. Over the next few weeks, take some time to thank them and let them know how much you appreciate them. Gratitude is one of the most powerful tools you have. Everyone likes to hear that they are appreciated and that they are making a difference. Toady more than ever it is important for people to know they are valued.

I know that I appreciate each and every one of you!
